There are many reasons you may have found your way to my practice.
Maybe you are struggling with anxiety or depression and want to learn ways to manage those feelings differently. You might be struggling with perfectionism. Perhaps you were referred by someone who suggested DBT or Brainspotting would be helpful for you. Whatever your reasons, I am here to help you make the best decision about your next steps.
I consult with every client by phone before our first meeting to make sure that I am the best fit for you. If I determine that there is someone else who is a better fit to help you achieve your goals, I’ll tell you and get you their contact information. I will never encourage you to come see me if I think there is a better therapist to work with you. If I do believe I can help you, I will also let you know how I think I can help. You can then decide if you think I’m the right therapist for you. If you think I am, then we’ll schedule your initial assessment and go from there.
